Michaux Legacy

In memory of Mike Michaux – friend, colleague, neighbor, spirited competitor, and fan of cycling!

Peter’s jersey displayed this logo honoring Mike Michaux on the upper left chest during the 2021 season, which many of Mike’s family members and friends generously supported. Peter continues to ride with Mike Michaux’s memory.

The significance of the two peaks on the logo are the two different mountain ranges Mike Michaux rode in his life. The taller silhouette represents the Alps; the smaller one is the Pyrenees. In the Alps Mike rode Alpe d’Huez, Col de la Croix de Fer, Col du Galibier, Col d’Ornon, Col de Sarenne, and La Berarde. In the Pyrenees Mike rode the Col du Soulor, Col d’Aubisque, Hautacam, Col du Tourmalet, and Superbagnères. The “Q” between the peaks is his nickname in his favorite color– red, as are the words “C’est Bon,” one of Mike’s favorite sayings.
