More about Peter
Peter Moore, born 2001, is an American road and track cyclist currently based in Wageningen, the Netherlands. Raised in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA, he began track cycling at age eight and road racing at age twelve. After success on the track as a junior at the national and world championships level, his U23 years provided a challenging mix of track and road racing. Shifting between racing for the the AG2R Citroën U23 Team, US National Team on the track, and carrying a significant independent track program provided a huge base of experience. The past few years have marked a focus on track which has yielded steady progress and quality results at the World Championship, World Cup, Pan American, TCL and Six Day level. The next few years will mark a continued focus on the track in the run into the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics as well as consistent road racing.
From 2013 to 2020, Peter competed in cross-country (Nordic) skiing for Saint Paul Academy (high school), Endurance United (club), and in his final year Bowdoin College (university). A five-time USSA junior national All American, Peter won the Minnesota State Meet in his senior year of high school. In his first year at Bowdoin College, he was the youngest skier in the U.S. to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Bozeman, Montana. Peter finished his competitive ski career in March 2020 as the third-ranked U.S. male skier born in 2001.
Peter is a Bowdoin College graduate with a BA in Integrative Biology
