More about Peter
Peter Moore, born 2001, is an American road and track cyclist currently based in Grenoble, France. Raised in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA, he began track cycling at age eight and road racing at age twelve. A seven-time U.S. junior national track cycling champion, Peter represented the United States at the UCI Track Cycling Junior World Championships in 2018 in Aigle, Switzerland (seventh place Madison, with Ryan Jastrab) and 2019 in Frankfurt an der Oder, Germany (tenth place International Omnium). He spent his 2021 season racing for AG2R Citroën U23 Team on the road where he gained extensive experience in climbing-heavy races. Peter also raced substantially on the track in 2021, consistently placing in the top 10 in European CL1 racing against Olympic quality fields. He will refocus wholly on track for the 2022 season.
From 2013 to 2020, Peter competed in cross-country (Nordic) skiing for Saint Paul Academy (high school), Endurance United (club), and in his final year Bowdoin College (university). A five-time USSA junior national All American, Peter won the Minnesota State Meet in his senior year of high school. In his first year at Bowdoin College, he was the youngest skier in the U.S. to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Bozeman, Montana. Peter finished his competitive ski career in March 2020 as the third-ranked U.S. male skier born in 2001.
